At Country Jam, the Western Colorado Volleyball Club works for KP Katering, who handles the VIP area during the event. They bring in several non-profit groups to help work and then donate money to those programs for their efforts. The WCVBC takes the money generated from Country Jam and divides it up amongst the workers to offset fees for the following club season. Because of non-profit rules, we cannot "pay" workers for their time. Technically, you are volunteering your time to the club and we are making a scholarship available to a player for their donated time. If for some unforeseen reason a player does not make the program or chooses not to play the following year, that portion of the money received from KP Katering is put in a scholarship program for other players. Each person that works gets a per hour fee that can be applied towards any player. The more people a player can get to work on their behalf, the more money they can earn towards their fees. If a player and their parents work together they make three times the money. Players and parents will be place on teams. Each team will have a team leader. Team leaders will be paid a little bit more for their time because they will be expect to supervise their team.
Workers must be signed up by June 20th in order to work this year's event. SIGNUPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. We have less slots available this year then last year. In order to sign up you must email her by clicking here. Please email her your name, phone number(s), the shift(s) you want to work and the best time to reach you. Workers need to understand that they need to eat BEFORE they come to work.
